Nashville Just Passed Its First Data Center Regulations. Here’s What Homeowners Should Know
Until recently, Nashville’s zoning code didn’t have a separate classification for data centers. These massive facilities could be treated similarly to general office uses, even though they can consume enormous amounts of electricity, require extensive cooling systems and operate noisy equipment around the clock.
That officially changed in July.
Metro Council passed Nashville’s first comprehensive regulations governing where data centers can be built and how they must operat
